At our Thursday meeting we discussed CIMUN-specific points and motions, procedures, regulations, etc. Everything you could ever need to know about CIMUN rules can be found in this 2012 Conference Guide. Keep in mind it is from a previous year's conference, so some information may not apply, but on the whole it explains in great detail everything you might be wondering about. If you are looking for the short summary of points and motions we looked at on Thursday, it can be found on page 38, but you will obviously learn more if you read the in-depth analyses.
CIMUN staff have pushed back the deadline for position papers by one week, so they are now due on Friday, January 17, 2014. Please don’t wait until the last minute. Work on your papers with your partner over the weekend and submit them then. Remember to share your position papers on Google Drive with: seth.colbertpollack [at] gmail [dot] com, nathaniellarson [at] q [dot] com, and robert.kohnert [at] mpls.k12.mn.us .
You are responsible for submitting your position papers — both white and black — to CIMUN by the due date. Neither Seth nor Nathaniel nor Mr. Kohnert will do that for you.
If you have already submitted your papers but are still looking for some CIMUN-realted activities, feel free to explore live.cimun.org, where you can read other delegation’s white papers, talk with other delegates on the forums, and read some new articles. During the conference, their news feed will be regularly updated with stories written by the CIMUN press corps about what we are doing in committee. You can also read about CIMUN on BestDelegate.
As always, email us if you have any questions. See you on Tuesday!
